DO YOU SEE THIS PICTURE RIGHT ABOVE? This is the official 2012 Killswitch Engage with former and newly appointed singer Jesse Leach.
I don’t know about you, but I am pumped for the new album that they are working on and the tour that will follow. I’m excited mostly because Jeese left the band before I was able to see them live when he was still around but second chances sometimes do happen. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Howard as their singer and he will be missed as their frontman but something about Jesse being back brings a wave of fresh air back to a band thats been pretty much dormant for almost two years.
Last time Jesse played with KsE 3/19/10
The band explained that Leach auditioned for the role he once called his own and blew everyone away. “After much deliberation and careful consideration, we are pleased to announce that Jesse Leach has rejoined Killswitch Engage,” the gents said, in an official statement. “Our job was to find the best person to fill Howard’s shoes: a decision based on talent and not familiarity.
“Truth be told, Jesse blew us away in auditions. The room seemed charged with electricity. He commanded both new and old material, and proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he wanted to do this. The choice became very clear and apparent.”
If you haven’t seen the pictures yet, Jonny Craig is shown very clearly, holding a spoon and really there’s only thing you do with a focused look on your face and holding a spoon with a lighter.
The next picture that was posted on Monday is Jonny holding a needle, making sure there isn’t any bubbles. At least he’s a careful junkie. I don’t know if he’s skinny normally, but this picture he’s looking really thin, like Trainspotter skinny.

Jesse has come home. Killswitch Engage’s original singer Jesse Leach has rejoined the band after a month that Howard Jones officially left the band because of personal issues. I’m happy and sad about this, Happy to see Jeese back because he was the singer when I got into Killswitch and sad to see Howard not continuing with the band since he was the singer for the past three albums, so he kind of grew on me. But I am so glad the new singer is Jesse. Welcome Back!
“Well, I guess I will shed a little light without going too deep. As some of you may know, I’ve had a pretty interesting couple of years to say the least battling with some personal issues. One of the low points being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes that went unchecked for years. The rest of the band stuck with me through it, and to be honest they are the ones that kept me going. The whole experience definitely put a scare in me. Recently we’ve all been in writing mode but somehow I couldn’t get excited about the new album and all the touring that would go with it. The guys saw it before I did. In hindsight I now realize that my heart wasn’t in it. I have had an amazing decade with KSE. I love Justin, MikeD, Joel and Adam for hanging in there and standing by me no matter how bad it was. I have so many good memories, and those are the ones that I will keep. Will I be involved in music again? Sure, I have been in bands for a little over half my life, can’t stop now. Until then, get the new KsE album, it’s going to be good. Thanks everyone for letting me try to entertain you, and I wish myself well in my future endeavors. Gone fishin’ Howard”
