Immolation – Providence EP Free Download

Yonkers Death Metal band Immolation have released a free download EP through Scion A/V. This is a little late but thats just how word gets around sometimes. (Thank You Metal Injection Podcast)

You can’t argue with free stuff, especially music and with how everything that happened with Megaupload, you just have to take every legit free release that is put out. Plus even though its free, doesn’t mean it’s shit either. Providence is an awesome release. If this is your first time listening to Immolation, it will definitly make you want to go back and listen to their older releases.—Providence-EP

Breakdown of Sanity Release New Single “Chapters” for Free Download

Switzerland thrashers Breakdown of Sanity have released their new single “Chapters” for free download on their facebook.

Chapters just kills everything and anything that gets in its way. BoS are currently in the studio recording their follow-up to 2011s diamond in the rough Mirrors. If their new album is anything like Chapters, we are all in for something great.

Since the track has reached its maximum downloads on their facebook, Breakdown of Sanity has given out the mediafire link for the song that you can find at the bottom. So Merry Christmas and Thank You Breakdown of Sanity!

Enjoy! I know I have at least 8 times already.

Hey everyone,

If you haven’t heard already, I have happily accepted the managing news editor position at Under The Gun Review. This means I am no longer updating this blog. Neither is Kriston. She has joined me at UTG as a writer.

If you haven’t looked at UTG, do it. We have plenty of exclusive interviews, reviews, and streams for your listening and viewing pleasure. I’m sure you’ll be quickly fond of the site and our content.

As for CurbsideAudio, its sad to leave it behind, but it was never meant to go anywhere. It got my foot in the door and for that, I am very grateful. Thanks for reading <3.

You can still reach me at my Twitter or at Under The Gun Review

UNEARTH: Liquid Metal to Premiere “Shadows in the Light” Today At 4:00 PM EST

Today, Liquid Metal (SiriusXM 40) will host the exclusive premiere of UNEARTH’s “Shadows in the Light,” the third track off the band’s upcoming and eagerly-anticipated Darkness in the Light full-length!

Said vocalist Trevor Phipps: “‘Shadows in the Light’ is a tune that showcases everything UNEARTH has ever brought to the table from the aggressive to melodic sides both musically and vocally. This is probably the most ‘dynamic’ song on the album, but also one of the hardest hitters…and catchiest. We set out to make this album heavy as hell, while also keeping the listener interested with some memorable moments. We hope this tune becomes a staple in our live set this summer and beyond. Lyrically the song is about never standing down even when your enemies or any sort of personal or worldly defeat seems to be bearing down on you.”

To check out “Shadows in the Light,” tune in to Liquid Metal TODAY at 4:00 PM (EST)!

Darkness in the Light is UNEARTH’s fifth full-length in a discography that’s placed the band among the most prolific, evolving and plainly ravaging modern metal acts to come out of the U.S. Slated for North American release via Metal Blade Records July 5, the 11-track long player was recorded at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts with producer (and Killswitch Engage guitarist) Adam Dutkiewicz and mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium). Sitting in on drums during the recording was Justin Foley of Killswitch Engage/Blood Has Been Shed.

Job for a Cowboy “Gloom” EP

Get ready for Job for a Cowboy‘s new EP Gloom, when it hits stores June 7th. The EP features four new tracks of fine-tuned, visceral death metal featuring the re-invigorated lineup of Jonny Davy (Vocals), Jon “The Charn” Rice (Drums), Bobby Thompson (Guitar), Al Glassman (Guitar) and new bassist Tony Sannicandro. The line-up can be seen now as they tour with label mates Between the Buried and Me and The Ocean on the Peter Says Denim Tour.

Drummer Jon ‘Charn’ Rice adds; “We’re all super stoked on this new ep we have coming out called ‘Gloom’ (fakeout!). We’ve had quite a few lineup changes over the past 6 months so we wanted to go into the studio to see how we all meshed musically. Initially we had the idea for the ep to be a bit slower but it turned out to be some of our fastest material to date. Check it out!”
