Matt Nicholls Breaks Arm Playing Football On Uk Tour!

BMTH drummer Matt Nicholls has broken his arm playing football with Parkway Drive and Architects. All UK shows will go ahead as planned, with Dan Searle from Architects temporarily replacing Matt Nicholls for the remainder of BMTH’s UK shows.

“It were a lovely day so members of BMTH, Parkway Drive and Architects decided to play footy and I made the stupid mistake of going in the net. The ball came to me and I knocked it away with my hands and Winston from Parkway Drive clipped my hand with his foot and there you have it, one broken hand.

I have to see a specialist in Sheffield to see if I need surgery or not but I’m not gonna be picking up drum sticks for about 6 weeks. It was an accident and you know, shit happens but I’ll tell you now, it’s the last time I wear gardening gloves in the net!” – Matt Nicholls earlier today.

BMTH are currently touring the UK on their biggest headline tour to date with support from Architects, Parkway Drive and The Devil Wears Prada, and play Reading/Leeds and Download festivals this summer.

Belated Parkway Drive Concert Review

I meant to do this monday but ive been tired and busy that i havent been able to get to it til now, but last sunday i went to the house of blues in Cleveland to see Parkway Drive. This wasnt my first time seeing them but it was my first time seeing them headlining so they would be playing more than just 6-8 songs.

The opening band was The Warriors which i just listened to their newest album “See How You Are”, which is awesome. As soon as the first strum of the guitars, the crowd erupted into a moshpit. They were an awesome band to start out the night. A tad bit too many ninja moshers for me tho.

Once the Warriors were done, the next band The Ghost Inside came on. They were a bit more hardcore style so it was ninja moshers galore. I was hit in the face by a faggy swinging arm, but i didnt let that get my down. The band was awesome, heard a lot of songs that i never quite paid attention to.

The third band Set Your Goals…i never really listened to them, and i dont want to piss anyone off but when i heard them i remembered why i steered clear of them. If i was a 14 year old girl i probably would of been into them. Doesnt mean that they didnt put on a good show, just not my cup of tea and was definitly the odd band out.

Then once they were down making the little girls ginies tickle, Parkway Drive came on and as always did not dissapoint. I saw so many bloody faces there than i have ever see in all the shows ive been to…including mine from a headbutt to the mouth lol.  They started out with the intro Samsara, then went right into it with Unrest. After that you can tell who was out of shape, including me. After playing for 45 minutes they went off stage and of course the Cleveland crowd wants more so after so loud PARK-WAY-DRIVE chants they came back out to do Carrion for the encore. I have never heard a crowd say the words to songs so loud before, especially to past parkway drive shows. After leaving the show, there were guys with ice bags on their arms, a guy sitting up on a stretcher. Thats when you know youve been to a good show.
